Catch of the Week: White Chocolate Almond, a twist on a COTW classic. Last day for Pineapple soft serve.

Wednesday's Surprise: Pineapple soft serve available today (09/01) through Sunday (09/05).

* For 4+ schools, we recommend calling ahead within the same day. For 10+ schools, we prefer 24 hours' notice. However, we make every attempt to accommodate your last minute orders. 

* For optimal reheating at home, please place your taiyaki in a toaster oven at 350F for 5-7 minutes.

 

CATCH OF THE WEEK 2010.

AUGUST10

15 August: Irish Coffee, uber yum combination of our coffee batter paired with our irish cream custard (of course, made with Bailey's).

8 August: Almond Apricot. We like the sweetness of the apricots paired with the crunchiness of the almonds. =)

1 August: Magical Mango -- perfect for summer.

JULY10

25 July: Surprising J. for his birthday with Coffee-Caramel, our coffee batter with caramel custard. Great suggestion, D.  

18 July: Favourite classic of ours, Matcha (Green Tea). 

11 July: M. wanted Red Velvet for his birthday this week -- this request was a bit tricky to translate into taiyaki format, but we finally settled on a cheesecake filling with a red velvet batter (8th type!).

4 July: Third savoury taiyaki of the year for M.'s birthday -- Corn Dog. Who's going to do the taiyaki sundae? =)

JUNE10

27 June: Peanut Butter + Banana. It's a classic favourite around here.

20 June: It's an extra special one as it's our 2nd birthday -- Honey Yuzu Cheesecake! ♥ our cheesecake fillings SO much.

13 June: Key Lime is returning this week. Seems appropriate for the heat wave we're experiencing (taiyaki sundaes are highly recommended in this weather).

06 June: It's time for a classic flavour, White Chocolate Macadamia is back. =)

MAY10

30 May: M. was sweet enough to treat us to her jalapeno poppers recently. So for her birthday, we've created our own taiyaki riff - Jalapeno Popper, cornbread batter outside with jalapenos, boursin cheese + garlic. Our second savoury taiyaki! Curious to see who tries it with soft serve (vanilla + chocolate this week). Let us know what you think.

23 May: R. wanted Choco-Orange for his birthday. Tweaked it a bit from last time, so it's now an orange custard with chocolate chips in our signature choco-batter. Let us know what you think.

16 May: Oatmeal-Blueberry, blueberries happily paired with our oatmeal batter.

9 May: Marking our 8th batter, Amaretto Coffee, is a pairing of coffee infused batter with an amaretto custard. Made for our mommy with love and Costa Rican Tarrazu-Montes de Oro beans, roasted for us by M. Happy Mother's Day!

2 May: White Chocolate Razzamatazz -- chunks of white chocolate swirled in a raspberry cream custard.

APRIL10

25 April: To celebrate T. turning 21 again, we have Choco-Irish Cream -- choco-GUINNESS batter with Bailey's cream custard.

18 April: Celebrating C.'s birthday this week with Almond-Pear, almond batter (6th one!) + pear brandy infused custard.

11 April: White Chocolate Pistachio -- we rather enjoy this pairing, particularly with soft serve ice cream.

4 April: Black Sesame. Many thanks to C. for the inspiration way back when as this has become a favourite of ours.

MARCH10

31 March: Choco-Almond — can’t get enough of choco batter. Nom nom nom. =)

25 March: Mint Chocolate Chip, a favourite classic of ours (apologies for the short week!).

7 March: Celebrating L.’s birthday this week with Egg Nog (yay for Maker’s Mark!)…it’s also Sprocket’s 1st birthday on the 10th!

FEBRUARY10

28 February:…the chicken has landed — it’s Chicken n’ Waffles to celebrate B.’s birthday. Yup, chicken in a maple infused batter. Extremely experimental + only our second savoury taiyaki. We like to think outside of the box. =)

21 February: Matcha — oh how we missed thee!  Always happy to have Matcha as our special flavour. =)

14 February:  Choco-Cherry — we <3 this combination of Bing cherries with our choco batter. We also <3 each of you!

7 February: Coffee ‘n Cream, (uber yum with soft serve!) created from Costa Rican Tarrazu-Montes de Oro beans, roasted for us by M.

JANUARY10

31 January: Almond Toffee — yummy in your (+ our) tummies.

24 January: Brave the cold + rain, and come see us this week — Oatmeal Apple Cinnamon is guaranteed to warm you up. =)

17 January: Inspired by P. giving us Cadbury koalas, we’re bringing Choco-Caramel back.  =) Om nom nom nom.

10 January: Bananas + walnuts have joined forces to become our Catch of the Week, Banana Walnut.  =)

3 January: Black SesameFirst Catch of the Week of 2010 — seems only fitting that it’s Black Sesame. =)
